This was my first ice bath in over 5 years so i had remembered some brief moments but i felt like a complete beginner. I was nervous that my body wouldn’t regulate to the ice well because ive had challenges with autoimmune issues most of my life and ive recently recovered from very bad thyroiditis that effected my heat regulation, energy levels and blood circulation. I felt ready and knew I was in safe hands. The moment i told Diko i was new i felt her care a presence surrounded me and i immediately trusted her guidance. She helped me enter and as soon as sat all the way in my body tightened and my breath felt very restricted. Diko help my hands, looked into my eyes and told me to breath with her at the same pace, so i did. It took me a minute to get i to a rhythm where my breath felt easier but Diko kept her loving guidance strong and her focus kept me focused. After a minute my whole body went numb and i peace and ease washed over my whole body like nothing ide felt before, i felt I felt completely relaxed, and sat further in the ice bath entering my arms and shoulders. It was deely peaceful and my breath felt rhythmic and calm, my heart was centred and i was amazed how an ice bath could have this effect on my mind, body and spirt. When i got out, we done some exercises to get the body movement and my body and mind felt fully energised, aligned and relaxed, it was the perfect way to start my day i couldnt have completed it without Dikos loving guidance and support, her strength was truly incredible and im very grateful she was there for me.
